Country star TAYLOR SWIFT is moving out of her family home – she’s bought her first apartment.
The You Belong With Me singer spent her childhood in Tennessee and has been living with her mom ever since.
But the 19 year old, who became the first country artist to win an MTV Video Music Award over the weekend when she claimed Best Female Video, is finally flying the nest and is celebrating her MTV win with a new home.
She says, ”I just got my first condo.”

The American Civil Liberties Union has stepped in to fight for the release of jailed reality TV star RICHARD HATCH – insisting he was imprisoned last month (Aug09) for criticizing the government.
Hatch, the winner of Survivor: Borneo in 2000, was indicted and sentenced to four years behind bars in 2005 for failing to pay tax on the $1 million (£666,600) prize he’d earned from the show and subsequent TV appearances.
He was allowed to live in his Rhode Island home under supervision following his release from a federal facility in Morgantown, West Virginia in May (09).
Just three months later, Hatch was hauled off to a Massachusetts county jail used to temporarily hold federal prisoners after prosecutors claimed he had given TV interviews that had not been approved by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
In an interview broadcast hours before his arrest, Hatch told America’s Today show, ”I know without question that there are personal issues involved for the prosecutor. I don’t know why. The prosecutorial misconduct has been egregious.”
Union leaders are now offering their support to Hatch, filing a request for his release with a federal judge on Monday (14Sep09).
Hatch’s home confinement was due to end on 7 October (09) – but a release date has yet to be disclosed. (JMA/WNWA/IG)

TV star and model AUDRINA PATRIDGE is seeking a restraining order against a fan who showed up at her door with a stash of disturbing poems, letters, drawings and postcards.
The Hills star claims she was terrified when Zachory Loring appeared on her front porch last month (Aug09) and handed her a sketch of a woman being strangled among other items.
In legal papers filed on Thursday (10Sep09) in Los Angeles, Patridge insisted Loring is a threat to her life and she wants him kept away from her.
Her brother Mark is also requesting protection from Loring, according to TMZ.com.
As well as the macabre sketch the overzealous fan showed her, Patridge was also left disturbed by one postcard he offered her, postdated 15 September (09), explaining she is ”concerned about whether she will be injured or harmed in any way on such date (sic).”
The Hills star claims her neighbors spotted Loring on her property three days later, when she was not at home.
Surveillance tape footage suggested he spent seven hours outside her home, muttering to himself.
He returned on 30 August (09) wearing a suit and tie. The police were called and Loring was arrested.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s threat management unit is investigating the case.
UPDATE:
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge issued a restraining order barring Loring from coming within 100 yards of the TV celebrity on Friday (11Sep09).
In court papers , a lawyer for Partridge said 24-year-old Loring identified himself as a fan and handed his client poems and letters he had written to her – and a drawing of a woman being strangled.
The temporary restraining order also prohibits Loring from contacting Patridge’s brother Mark.

Designer CHRISTIAN AUDIGIER’s plans to buy NICOLAS CAGE’s Bel Air mansion in Los Angeles have reportedly fallen through – the actor is auctioning off the home which once belonged to TOM JONES and DEAN MARTIN.
Sources suggested Cage had sold the ‘Pink Palace’ to the man behind the Ed Hardy clothing line for just over $14 million (£9.3 million), but now reports suggest the Con Air star has decided to sell his home as part of a sealed bid sale.
The actor put the property on the market in 2007 for $35 million, according to RealEstalker.com. He bought the home in 1998 for $6.5 million.
According to the website, all sealed bids for the home are scheduled to be reviewed on 24 September (09), with the minimum bid for the seven-bedroom spread set at $9.95 million – 28 per cent of the original asking price.

Los Angeles police are hunting for a multi-million dollar collection of ANDY WARHOL artwork stolen from a private collector earlier this month (Sep09).
Authorities were called out to the home of businessman Richard Weisman after he found 10 pieces of his Warhol collection had been taken.
The paintings, hailing from the 1970s and depicting images of Muhammad Ali, O.J. Simpson, and other athletes, were noticed missing by a staff member.
L.A. Detective Mark Sommer says, ”This was a very clean crime. (The home) wasn’t ransacked.”
Weisman is offering a $1 million reward for the safe return of the artworks.

The San Diego District Attorney has dismissed singer/reality TV star TILA TEQUILA’s accusations she was choked and attacked by her American football star boyfriend last Sunday (06Sep09).
Police responded to the home of San Diego Chargers star Shawne Merriman after Tequila dialled 911.
She claimed the sports star had attacked her after the pair spent the evening at a local nightclub.
The internet pin-up, real name Tila Nguyen, signed a complaint against her beau at the scene and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Merriman was taken into custody and accused of battery and false imprisonment.
He insisted he simply tried to stop an intoxicated Tequila from traveling home alone.
District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis announced on Friday (11Sep09) there was insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Merriman committed a crime.
A statement from Dumanis reads, ”This case is now closed.”

Meanwhile Tila has lashed out at the San Diego District Attorney’s decision to dismiss her allegation she was battered by her NFL player boyfriend – accusing authorities of ”unconscionable negligence”.
Last week (06Spe09), police were called to the home of San Diego Chargers footballer Shawne Merriman after Tequila dialled 911 and claimed she had been choked and prevented from leaving the property by the sports star.
The internet pin-up, real name Tila Nguyen, signed a complaint against her beau at the scene and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, while Merriman was taken into custody accused of battery and false imprisonment.
Merriman vehemently denied attacking his lover, insisting he prevented her returning home as she was ”inebriated” and he didn’t want her to travel alone.
District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis ruled on Friday (11Sep09) there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Merriman committed a crime.
But Tequila is fuming with the decision, and plans to launch a civil case against Merriman.
In a statement, her representative says, ”Tila Tequila is the victim of a violent crime. The San Diego District attorney’s decision not to press charges against Shawne Merriman for the battering of Tila Tequila demonstrates an unconscionable negligence in the discharging of their public duties. We strongly feel that justice has not been served in this matter.
“Obviously, The San Diego Charger’s NFL franchise brings millions of dollars in revenue to the city of San Diego, and it seems clear that other interests are being served by the DA’s office than the upholding of the law.
”A young woman was violently beaten and choked, and the physical evidence is both overwhelming and disturbing… Just because the DA has made this reckless decision doesn’t mean that justice will not be served in this case. No one is above the law. Tila Tequila will immediately begin pursuing civil charges against Mr. Merriman and she will have her day in court.”
